Mentoring is an important part of the Mungo Youth Project and where possible we attempt to provide a relevant and experienced mentor for each study area to presenting schools to help enhance the learning experience and enrich the presentation. Eg. A scientist can be sent to a school studying archaeology and Traditional Owners can share stories about language and rituals and a historian can provide information on pastoralists.
If your school would like a mentor to visit in 2014 and discuss your chosen subject area please contact MYP.
An education support worker will be appointed to manage the mentoring program and ensure that the traditional owners are consulted, engaged and respected throughout the project.
